The August dates that can shape Sycamore's public work
A consolidated calendar reveals a same-night Board conflict, a cluster of early-August school meetings, and the return of County government after July recess.

In one sentence
Residents following more than one public body need a combined calendar because the official schedules are separate and sometimes overlap.
The first full week of August includes District 427's rescheduled PTAC meeting, a regular School Board meeting, and a County Finance Committee meeting.
Later in the month, the County Board and Forest Preserve commissioners return from July recess. On August 25, the District 427 Board and Park District Board are both scheduled for 6:00 pm.
Early August
District 427 lists PTAC for August 3 at 6:00 pm and a regular Board meeting August 4 at 6:00 pm. DeKalb County lists its Finance and Administration Committee for August 5 at 6:30 pm.
The City Council generally meets on the first and third Monday at 6:00 pm. Residents should verify the posted City agenda before relying on the recurring pattern.
The second Tuesday
August 11 is a dense civic date. Kishwaukee College lists its Board meeting at 4:00 pm. The Library's stated recurring pattern places its Board at 5:30 pm. Sycamore Township lists its Town Board at 6:00 pm, and District 427 lists Business Services at 6:00 pm.
Recurring patterns are not substitutes for a posted agenda. The Branch labels them as expected until an official meeting notice is visible.
County government returns
The County Board schedule identifies July as recess and August 19 as the next meeting at 7:00 pm. Forest Preserve commissioners are scheduled to meet immediately afterward.
The same elected officials sit in both rooms, but the actions and records belong to separate public bodies.
A same-night conflict on August 25
District 427 and the Park District both list regular Board meetings at 6:00 pm on August 25. That overlap matters to residents, reporters, and community organizations interested in both school and park issues.
The agendas will determine whether the conflict is merely inconvenient or involves competing major decisions. The Branch will keep the two records separate while showing the scheduling conflict in one place.
