Accountability
Corrections and updates
Material errors are corrected visibly. New information that does not make the original reporting wrong becomes separate, dated coverage.
Story-level disclosureNo separate public corrections ledger is active.
Where corrections appear
Check the affected story for its dated correction note.
The Branch does not currently maintain a separate public corrections ledger. When a published story needs a material correction, the story itself identifies the change, date, reason, and supporting source so the disclosure stays with the reporting it affects.
Reader-submitted requests remain private while editors verify them against the public record.Correction
When the earlier page was wrong
The Branch changes the page, dates the correction, explains the material error, and links the strongest supporting record.
Update
When the public record moved forward
The Branch preserves what was known at publication. A later development becomes a new dated story or a separate recorded decision with its own source.
